What Clients Say About Us

"Jonathan and William continue to go above and beyond as partners on our projects. They handle much of the heavy lifting for coordination between all parties, including the general contractors, commissioning agents, clients, and our design team. They are an ideal consultant team to work with because they are always willing to step in and help!"

“The team at NW Energy Collaborative has quickly become my first stop for our sustainability consulting needs. From assistance on green building certifications to energy modelling to connecting the project with financial incentives, they provide superior service at an affordable price.”
Corey Hawbecker
Principal, Sustainability Director - HOLST ARCHITECTURE
“Jonathan and the team at NWECB saved me from making a costly mistake when I was finishing out my basement. I hired a company to install a new ceiling in the basement, but after consulting with Jonathan at NW Energy Collaborative during an energy audit, he discovered water damage from my front door [leaking into the basement], which led to finding a crack in my foundation. He recommended addressing these issues first, then insulating and sealing the area before finishing the ceiling. Jonathan contacted a company, Skilled Builds, that could repair the damage. They were wonderful, so I hired them to do more work. These guys really understand homes and buildings and saved me thousands of dollars while reducing my energy costs. My basement is finished, safe, warm, and dry thanks to Jonathan and his team. I can’t say enough good things about their work!”

“Received a substantial amount of positive feedback about your [BuildRight Conference] presentation [on building envelope], particularly from several people who called your session especially enjoyable. Just wanted to pass along what a great response you received. Thanks for making building science so much fun! The industry benefits from the energy you bring.”

Our Process

Your Path to a More Efficient Home

Clean Energy

From assessment to implementation, our proven process identifies energy issues, delivers smart solutions, and helps you achieve lasting efficiency and comfort.

1.

Energy Audit & Assessment

Start with a certified home energy audit. Advanced diagnostic tools are used to evaluate the entire home, identify inefficiencies, and determine the root causes of comfort and energy issues.

2.

Analysis & Recommendations

The home is analyzed as a complete system, including insulation, airflow, heating, cooling, and more. Based on this, a detailed plan is created with the most cost-effective improvements and available tax credits or rebates.

3.

Implementation & Certification

Recommended upgrades are completed with trusted contractors, followed by testing, compliance, and potential certifications like Energy Star or other green building programs to improve efficiency and unlock incentives.

Our approach integrates sustainability consulting with code compliance, energy modeling, air barrier verification, and window performance testing, allowing project teams to work with a single, aligned partner across overlapping scopes.

Our team supports municipalities, developers, and property owners in securing incentives, reducing operating costs, and improving building performance, while delivering durable, high-performing buildings that meet both sustainability goals and real-world construction demands.
